Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI) established in the year 1972, is a functional autonomous body jointly managed by Government of Gujarat and Gujarat Cancer Society, affliated to B J Medical College. It is also a Regional Cancer Centre of Government of India and getting assistance under National Cancer Control Programme.The Gujarat Cancer Society (GCS) was established in 1960 with donation of 5000 rupees as seed money collected from a charity cultural event organized by Inner Wheel Club of Ahmedabad (Rotary Club). The then Governor of Gujarat, H.E. Mehndi Nawab Jung suggested to utilize the donation money as seed value for establishing a cancer hospital in Ahmedabad under Gujarat Cancer Society.
Junior Pharmacist - 01 post
Qualification : Degree of Pharmacy or a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized University or an equivalent education qualification and must have registered his/her name with the Pharmacy Council.
Age: Not more than 35 years, can be relaxed for deserving case.
Experience: Two years experience of Pharmacy work in any Hospital or Institute will be Preferred. (If experienced candidates are not available fresher may be consider as Trainee).

Senior Scientific Officer - 01 post [1 - ST]
Qualification : The candidate should be PhD in one of the Life Science/Biochemistry from recognized university. The PhD study should be on Clinical Cancer Biology in human subjects. The candidate should have minimum 15 papers published in peer-reviewed national/international journals. The candidate should have presentations/participation in minimum 15 national / international conferences. The candidate should have cancer research projects as Principle Investigator.
Age: Not more than 40 years, can be relaxed for deserving case.
Experience: Minimum 15 years research experience with at least 5 years research experience after obtaining PhD degree. The candidate should have knowledge and minimum 15 years experience in routine clinical work using advanced molecular biology (viz: Flowcytometry, RT-PCR, PCR, immuno-histochemistry, cytogenetics, FISH etc.) techniques. The candidate should also have minimum 3 years experience of independently handiling a laboratory for advanced clinical oncology work and research work. The candidate should have minimum 3 years experience of P.G. teaching and proven capability in organizing and conducting practical training to P.G. students

Junior Scientific Officer - 01 post [1 - ST]
Qualification : The candidate should be PhD in Life Science/Biochemistry from recognized university. The PhD study should be on Clinical Cancer Biology in human subjects. The candidate should have research papers published in peer-reviewed national / international journals. The candidate should have presentations / participation in national / international conferences. The candidate should have cancer research projects as Investigator.
Age: Not more than 35 years, can be relaxed for deserving case.
Experience: Minimum 10 years research experience in cancer biology with at least 3 years research experience after obtaining PhD degree. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in routine clinical work using advanced molecular biology (viz: Flowcytometry, RT-PCR, PCR, immuno-histochemistry, cytogenetics, FISH etc.) techniques. The candidate should have experience of P.G. teaching and proven capability in organizing and conducting practical training to P.G. students

Research Assitant- 01 post [1 - ST]
Qualification : The candidate should be PhD in Life Science/Biochemistry from recognized university. The PhD study should be on Clinical Cancer Biology in human subjects.

Experience: Minimum 7 years research experience in cancer biology. The candidate should have knowledge and proven experience for routine clinical work using advanced clinical molecular biology (viz: Flowcytometry, RT-PCR, PCR, immunohistochemistry, cytogenetics, FISH etc.) techniques. The candidate should have experience and established capability in organizing and conducting practical training to P.G. students
