Job Description
Dr. Subhash Chauhan’s lab, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow. Applicant is expected to have a strong background in nanoparticle, cancer research, and cancer therapeutics research with substantial expertise both in cell culture and in vivo studies. Current position particularly investigates generation, characterization, and testing of novel nanomedicine products in relevant in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo models. In addition, delivery of therapeutics using nanoparticles and targeting specific signaling pathways for cancer treatment. Applicant who has experience in Nanoparticles, micelles, hybrid formulations, nanoparticle screening for suitable loading and delivery, antibody conjugation and manipulation, structural and Functional imaging of theranostic formulations, experience in characterization techniques such as FTIR, SEM, TEM, HPLC and other biological assay, swill be preferred.  Applicant should also have experience in handling stem cells, mouse macrophages and fibroblast cells. This position is a strong collaboration between Dr. Chauhan, Dr. Meena Jaggi and Dr. Murali Yallapu laboratories. Awareness or familiarity with submission of NIH/DOD and other postdoctoral grant mechanism is desired. The applicant should be self-motivated, able to design and conduct experiments, prepare and present their work at meetings, and write scientific manuscripts. Should have knowledge of hazards of laboratory activities and related safety practices, skill in setting up, care and use of laboratory equipment, and ability to develop and assist with development of new and improved methodology. Prior experience with nanoparticle technology and in vivo studies and in the area of cancer therapy with live animals or experience in mouse models related to cancer is a plus.

Candiadate
Requires a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry/materials Science, Cancer Biology, Molecular/Cell Biology or other related field of biomedical sciences.
