The Pharma Quality Excellence Awards 2026, co-located with the GMP Conference on April 24th in Mumbai, celebrate those organizations and individuals who have progressed beyond compliance to build mature, resilient, and sustainable quality ecosystems.
Anchored in the theme “Beyond Compliance: Building Quality Maturity”, these awards recognize excellence where GMP is not treated as a checklist, but as a strategic capability embedded into organizational culture, leadership behaviors, systems, and decision-making. Quality maturity reflects an organization’s ability to consistently deliver compliant outcomes through robust processes, empowered people, scientific risk management, data integrity, and continuous learning.
The awards honor both organizational excellence and individual leadership, acknowledging that sustainable GMP performance is driven by strong systems as well as committed professionals who lead by example. The categories have been carefully designed to distinguish between compliance-driven activities and maturity-led outcomes, focusing on depth of implementation, ownership by leadership, and the ability to sustain and scale quality performance over time.
Certain organizational categories are evaluated based on company turnover to ensure fairness, recognizing that scale, complexity, and resource availability significantly influence GMP implementation. Other categories are assessed uniformly across organizations, as quality maturity in these areas is driven more by mindset, discipline, and leadership than by organizational size. Together, the Pharma Quality Excellence Awards aim to recognize organizations and professionals who are shaping mature GMP ecosystems- where quality is embedded into how work is done, risks are proactively managed, learning is continuous, and trust is consistently delivered to patients, regulators, and global stakeholders.
There are 3 types of awards categories: individual, organizational and jury selection. The nominations are allowed only for individual and organizational award categories.

Winners are selected based on merit, not popularity, by a distinguished panel of 5 veteran leaders with expertise in pharma quality, from regulatory bodies and academia. This proven method ensures deserving recognition and has garnered commendation for its effectiveness. To make sure no one can influence the jury’s decision, we are keeping the names private. The jury members are qualified personnels with pharma, academic, regulatory body background.
