National Seminar on Current Challenges & Prospects of Biopharmaceuticals: Biologics & Biosimilars at PCTE Group of Institutes

Clinical courses

Clinical courses

Established in the year 1999, PCTE is recognized as one of the most dynamic, vibrant and encompassing amongst all the colleges in North India. The campus sits in a lush green countryside, barely 2 Km from an industrialized & progressive city of Ludhiana.

Objective of the Seminar :
Biopharmaceuticals have impacted healthcare by providing medicines which are irreplaceable and are lifesaving. However, these genetically engineered biopharmaceutical molecules have extremely complex structures, and thus detailed analysis and understanding of these molecules at all levels of development is anticipated. The range of these molecules is constantly expanding, and success of established biopharmaceuticals is attracting biosimilar-production industry for providing these molecules at substantially lower cost to vast number of patients. However, biosimilars are much more difficult to develop and manufacture than traditional generics and their uptake is still limited, due to a lack of confidence towards biosimilars by some stakeholders due to uncertainty about the interchangeability. The seminar aims to provide opportunities to all its speakers and delegates to come together to interact and exchange new ideas related to current challenges & prospects of biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars.
