COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP PLAN-2014-U.K.

 

Clinical courses

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for nominations from India for award of Commonwealth Scholarships in United Kingdom tenable from September/October 2014. Upto Sixty five (65) (39 for Master’s Degree Course/Six months clinical training and 26 for Ph.D. Course) nominations are to be sent to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for final selection to be made by them.

LEVEL OF COURSE

(1) SIX MONTHS OF CLINICAL TRAINING (For MBBS. BPS. MS. MD degree holders only who have qualified as MBBS and BPS between 1st October. 2004 and 30th September. 2009.

1. Cancer Research 2. Cardiology 3. Gynecology 4. Medicine 5. Dentistry 6. Orthopedics 7. Neurology and 8. ENT.

*From 1st October 2010, all international medical graduates, including those on Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowships, who apply for registration with the GMC will be required to score 7.0 or above in every band of the academic IELTS test. Applicants in medicine and dentistry whose programme requires them to practice clinically, or to work in a laboratory department reporting on samples from Patents, can be considered only if, they are eligible for registration with the General Medical Council or the General Oental Council.

(2) (i) ONE YEAR TAUGHT MASTER’S COURSES OR EQUIVALENT PEGREES. (ii) POCTORAL DEGREE OF UPTO THREE YEARS DURATION

Computer Applications/Computer Science 7. Civil Engg 8. Electronics/Electrical 9. Environmental Studies 10. Economics 11. English (Literature/Linguistics) 12. History 13. Law 14. Material Science 15. Marine Engg. 16. Mining Engg 17. Mathematics 18. Molecular Biology 19. Management Studies 20. Physics 21. Psychology 22. Philosophy 23. Political Science with International Relations 24. Remote Sensing Technology 25. Robotics 26. Sociology.

Before applying, the candidates are requested to visit mhrd.aov.in or sakshat.ac.in or sakshat.ianou.ac.in/sakshat/index.aspxfor detailed Eligibility Criteria, Educational Qualifications, Terms & Conditions, General Instruction and other format/contents. Candidates can use the application format given at the above websites and submit application either online through mhrd.aov.in or by post/hand. No application form is being supplied by the Department. The last date for applying online and by post/hand is 6th October & 11"’ October 2013 respectively. The desirous candidates may ensure that the hard copies of applications, if applying online, and applications in the prescribed format, if applying by post/hand must reach to the Under Secretary (ES), ES.4 Section, Department of Higher Education, West Block-1, Second Floor, Wing-6, New Delhi-110066, by 11" October, 2013 (5.30 P.M.).
