Opening for Junior Research Fellow in ICGEB

The ICGEB is an international, nonprofit research organization. Established as a special project of UNIDO, it became fully autonomous in 1994 and now counts over 60 Member States. The International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology provides a scientific and educational environment of the highest standard and conducts innovative research in life sciences for the benefit of developing countries. It strengthens the research capability of its Members through training and funding programmes and advisory services and represents a comprehensive approach to promoting biotechnology internationally.

One Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is available in the DBT-ICGEB Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research. The position is available initially for one year with annual extensions up to three years.

Project entitled “High-throughput screening of lipid producing microalgae through ‘Omics’ approach”

Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Required minimum qualifications and experience:
1. Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences or other relevant field.
2. Experience in handling algal strains, basic molecular biology and metabolic analyses.

Please note all these positions are temporary project positions whose duration is only for the tenure of the DBT-funded project.
