NER-BPMC has been set up by the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, through Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL) for development, coordination and monitoring of biotechnology programmes in the North Eastern States of India.
Applications under NER-BPMC are invited for the posts of 4 Senior Consultants, one each in various areas of Biotechnology i.e. (i) Healthcare/Medical, (ii) Agriculture/Plant, (iii) Animal Sciences/Livestock and (iv) Human Resource Development (HRD).
Post: Senior Consultant
Essential Qualifications: Candidates having master’s degree in the respective areas i.e. Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharma, Agriculture, Animal Sciences, Livestock from a recognized University with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the respective areas preferably in implementing major research programmes.
Desirable: Candidate having Ph.D. in their respective areas with experience in handling projects in North Eastern Region of India and recently superannuated would be preferred.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for applying for the above posts is 66 years as on April 1, 2013.
Emoluments: Rs. 60,000/- PM and conveyance allowance Rs. 3,000/- PM.
The above consultancy assignments are contractual, initially for a period of six months, which is extendable upto 3 years depending on the performance evaluation.
