With the spread of the infection across the country and the sharp rise in the number of HIV infected persons in the society, Care and Support including home-based care has been made an integral component in the second phase care has the National AIDS Control Programme. There is a moral and humanitarian obligation to provide appropriate care and support to persons infected with HIV/AIDS. The patients affected with the disease are young and are in the prime productive years of their life (mostly 15-49 years) and belong to different social and economic strata. People with HIV/AIDS experience a variety of health care problems, psychological traumas, stigma, and rejection by family members, friends and even medical personnel. If some amount of relief and normality can be given to them by ensuring proper care and support in the hospitals and in the community, as also protection of their right or privacy and other human right; suffering is reduced and improvement is seen in their quality of life.

Recruitment for posts at three ART centres under BSACS are to be filled by Walk-in-interview as given below:

Qualification and experience as approved under NACP: Degree in pharmacy from a recognized institute. If candidate with degree is not abailable, diploma holder in pharmacy with 3 years experience in health care institutions can be considered. He/She must be registered in the concered state pharmacy council.

General Instructions:
1. Eligible candidates should come for walk in interview at the respective civil surgeon officer for selection as per schedule given above. The panel shall be constituted which will be valid for one year.

2. Candidates must produce all relevant qualifications and experience in original at the time of interview (experience after completion of basic degree shall only be considered). Candidate must bring attested photocopies of all testimonials and two photographs.

3. No TA/DA shall be admissible for attending walk in interview

4. The maximum age limit for the post is 62 years. Preference will be given to the candidates with computer knowledge.

5. The said posts are place specific, non transferable purely temporary and contractual as per NACO/BSACS norms.
