The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.

West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti intends to engage on contract basis for the post of Pharmacist under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) of RCH, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.

Eligible candidates should apply online in the prescribed format as given in the Department’s website from 11am of 16th December, 2013 to 5pm of 6th January, 2014 for the mentioned post. Only on-line Applications will be accepted. Application forms not properly filled in or incomplete Application forms are liable to be cancelled.

Essential Qualification: The candidate should have Two years Diploma in Pharmacy(D-Pharma) (ALLOPATHIC) from any institute approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)/AICTE.
The candidate should be permanent resident of West Bengal and should be able to read, write and speak in Bengali.
Persons holding Bachelor in Pharmacy (B-Pharma) and Masters in Pharmacy ( M-Pharma) from any institute approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI)/AICTE will be given additional marks.

Consolidated Remuneration: Rs 16860.00 p.m.

Process of recruitment: Screening of applications, Merit list of eligible candidates based on scoring of academic qualification starting from Secondary onwards as stated in the Scale of Scoring in Annexure. Shortlisted candidates from the Merit List will be called for original testimonial verification. After successful verification of original testimonials, category wise final selection list according to merit will be prepared for appointment in any District of West Bengal.

Age limit as on 1.10.2013: Not exceeding 40 yrs (relaxation in age will be given for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per extant rule & order in this regard).

Scale of scoring Total 100 Marks
For class 10 or equivalent Maximum 20 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e % obtained in the exam *20/100)
For class 12 or equivalent Maximum 20 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e % obtained in the exam *20/100)
For Diploma in pharmacy Maximum 30 Marks (Proportionate Marking (Allopathic) i.e % obtained in the exam *40/100)
Possessing Bachelor in Pharmacy (B-Pharma-Allopathic) Maximum 20 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e % obtained in the exam *20/100)
Possessing Machelor in Pharmacy (M-Pharma-Allopathic) Maximum 10 Marks (Proportionate Marking i.e % obtained in the exam *10/100)

General Information for the Applicants/Candidates
1. Only online Applications will be accepted. Application forms not properly filled in or incomplete Application forms are liable to be cancelled. If the online application details submitted by the applicant differ with the original testimonials, that application shall liable to be cancelled.

2. If proper signature and photograph is not uploaded at the time of online application that application shall also liable to be cancelled.

3. The Essential Qualifications mentioned are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitles the candidate to claim selection.

4. The originals of each of the following documents stated below must be brought for verification:
• Photo proof identity card (Passport or Voter ID Card or ADHAR Card or Pan Card).
• Proof of Address (Passport or Voter ID Card or ADHAR Card or Electric Bill of House, Ration Card).
• Age Proof Certificate (Madhyamik or equivalent examination certificate)
• Caste Category Certificate (if any). In case of OBC candidates category ‘A’ or ‘B’ must be mentioned specifically in the caste certificate and last pay    slip    of    parents.
• Registration Certificate issued by Pharmacy Council of India
• All marksheets starting from Secondary onwards

5. On-line registration No. should be retained by all applicants for future reference. Employer is not liable to give any information regarding the on-line registration no. in future.

6. For D-Pharma and B-Pharma marks obtained in the exam means total marks obtained in all the years. In case of Supplementary marks should be calculated accordingly.

7. Registration Certificate must be issued by Pharmacy Council of India before the last date of on-line application.

8. Claim and/or change of place of posting from the side of the applicant shall not be entertained before /after issuance of appointment letter.

9. No rounding off of marks will be granted. Proportionate marking upto 2 decimal points will be considered. 

10. Application fees of Rs.100/ for unreserved category and Rs. 50/ for Reserve categories (SC, ST, OBC- A & B and PWD) in the form of Demand Draft to be issued from any Nationalised Bank in favour of West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti payable at Service Branch, Kolkata. The Demand Draft must be purchased on or after date of advertisement and should be sent to the office of the undersigned within 14th January, 2014 by speed post only.

11. Applicant must mention their On-line registration No, Date of birth, Name, Guardian’s name and caste category at the back of the Draft and in front of the envelope. The hard copy/print copy of the filled up on-line application form of the candidate, after self attestation with date should also be enclosed with the Demand Draft. No application will be accepted without submission of the required Demand Draft. The amount received in the form of Demand Draft will not be refunded.

12. The decision of the Competent Authority regarding the recruitment is final.
