G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is the first agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by Jawahar Lal Nehru on 17 November 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 in memory of the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. The University was declared as the best among all the other State Universities in India, in 1997. The University lies in the campus-town of Pantnagar in the district of Udham Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand. The university is regarded as the harbinger of Green Revolution in India.
Applications are invited for post of Senior Research Fellow in the category of Unreserved (Female) in ICAR funded Outreach Programme in Ethno-Veterinary Medicine. The details of position are as follows:
Post: Senior Research Fellow- One
Qualification:
1. M.V.Sc. Degree in Veterinary Science preferably in Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine, Medicine/Pathology/Pharmacology
or
2. M. Pharma with one year experience of working in Ethno-Medicine
Fellowship: 1. Rs. 18,000/- (for MVSc) Or 2. Rs. 12,000/- (for M.Phama)
The applicants possessing essential qualifications should apply on plain paper in prescribed format, given as under to the Project Leader/Head, Department of Veterinary Clinics, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar-263 145 (U.S. Nagar) Uttarakhand latest by 21-01-2014. The award is tenable for a period of three years subject to six monthly review or completion of the project whichever is earlier.
Candidate fulfilling the qualification should appear for Interview on 22-01-2014 at 11.00 A.M. in the office of the Head, Department of Veterinary Clinics, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pantnagar. No separate interview letter will be issued and No TA/DA will paid for appearing in the interview. There will be no liability on the university, whatsoever on account of the award of SRF in the project.
