Job Description:
We seek to fill a postdoctoral research associate position in collaboration with the department of analytical chemistry at the ETH Zürich  in the summer of 2011. The post-doc will contribute to an innovative research project funded and guided through the Roche Postdoc Fellowship Program.
The project is focusing on the development and the application of a novel high-throughput sampling method for trace analysis via electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.
State-of the art equipment (a variety of mass spectrometry, spectroscopy and microscopy instruments) is available in the groups at ETH and at Roche, and world-class departmental facilities (mechanical and electronic workshops, library services, computing facilities, etc.) are accessible as well.
The position is for 2 years initially and will be based at the ETH Zürich (Professor Renato Zenobi).

  • Ph.D level scientist. Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biochemistry or related area
  • Strong background in analytical or physical chemistry
  • practical experience with LC/MS and/or nanospray-LC/MS.
  • Pro-actively oriented and committed to innovation.
