IIT (BHU) is an Institute of national importance created by an Act of the Parliament through the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2012 vide Gazette Notification dated 29.06.2012. All the IITs are administered centrally by the IIT Council, an apex body established by the Government of India. The Minister of Human Resource & Development, Government of India, is the Chairman of the Council.
Post : Senior/Junior Research Fellow
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the following position for the research project titled “Nanoparticles Supported Self Assembled Conducting Polymer Monolayer Based Platform for Rapid Detection of Monosodium Glutamate in Food Products” sponsored by Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi for a period of 1 year.
Duration of Position : One year
Emoluments(p.m) : Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for JRF and Rs. 28,000 + HRA for SRF
Educational Qualifications
Essential: Master Degree in Sciences or Engineering having qualified with GATE / NET / JRF / GPAT / DST INSPIRE Fellow.
Desirable: Two vears' experience in working with similar projects as JRF or having experience in electrochemical biosensors or molecular biology techniques. Knowledge of materials synthesis and characterization techniques. This position is for an experience person for the SRF, however talented student at JRF level may also be considers from the applications we receive in case a candidate for SRF with desire experience not found suitable.
Age : 28 years for JRF and 32 years for SRF. Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India (GOI) rules.
General terms and Conditions:
The position is purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The PI has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated to appear in the interview and no other communication in this regard will be entertained. The candidate is expected to join immediately, if selected. No DA/TA will be paid for attending the interview. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Institute shall be final.
