  • PCI invites Government faculty for panel empanelment of Exit Exam

    Pharmacy council of India is preparing for the exit exam for Diploma pharmacy. PCI invites Government faculty for panel empanelment of Exit Exam.

    PCI (Pharmacy council of India) said in a notification that this is to bring to kind information that Exit Examination for Diploma in Pharmacy has to be conducted. Faculty from Government and Government Aided colleges are hereby informed to fill the form for being considered as an expert.

  • IPC indicates ADRs associated with Cephalosporins and Amikacin

    Indian Pharmacopoeia commission, IPC indicated adverse drug interactions associated with widely used antibiotic cephalosporins and Amikacin.

    Cephalosporins are beta-lactam antimicrobials used to manage a wide range of infections from Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.And Amikacin is indicated in the treatment of serious infections due to amikacin sensitive organisms.

    Pharmacy council of India has finalised that the exit exam of Diploma in pharmacy candidates will be implemented from 2022-2023 batch of D.Pharm course.

    At the pinnacle of the online era, the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is set to digitize Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP) to increase its coverage.

    IPC has invited tender on Gem Portal (Government E Marketplace) from eligible and qualified IT firms related to online portal Development, application development, data digitalization or online content management etc for the project.

    Mrs. Archna Mudgal who was serving as registrar cum secretary has taken voluntary retirement from PCI, notified by Pharmacy council of India. And Mr Anil Mittal, Deputy Secretary has taken charge as Registrar-cum-Secretary.

    A notification published on Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) portal said, "Due to Voluntary Retirement taken by Smt. Archna Mudgal, Registrar-cum-Secretary, PCI, Shri Anil Mittal, Deputy Secretary will hold the charge of Registrar-cum-Secretary."

    Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh today said, India is among the top five countries in the world manufacturing life-saving high risk medical devices but the cost of our devices is about one-third of those manufactured by the other four countries.
