  • 1500 SCHOLARSHIPS (TRUST FUND) for Students with Disabilities for academic year 2013-14 in NHFDC

    The National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC) has been set up by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India on 24th January 1997. The company is registered under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956 as a Company not for profit. It is wholly owned by Government of India and has an authorised share capital of Rs. 400 crores (Rupees Four Hundred Crore only).

  • Margdarshi Fellowships for Biomedical Research Fellowship Programme in India

    The Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance(IA; India Alliance) was officially launched on 9 September 2008 and registered as a charitable trust in India. The organization is an equal partnership between the Wellcome Trust (UK) and the Department of Biotechnology (Government of India).

  • CAS-TWAS President’s Postgraduate Fellowship Programme

    This CAS-TWAS President’s Fellowship Programme provides students/scholars from developing countries (other than China) an opportunity to pursue PhD degrees at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or Institutes of CAS around China.

    Under the terms of the new CAS-TWAS agreement, travel from their home countries to China will be provided to the fellowship awardees in order to begin the fellowship in China (one trip only per student/scholar). Visa fee will also be covered (once only per student/scholar).

  • J.N. Tata Endowment for the Higher Education of Indians at Sir Dorabji Tata Trust and the Allied Trusts

    The J.N. Tata Endowment offers loan scholarships only. The loan amount (ranging between Rs. 60,000 and  Rs.4,00,000) awarded to each scholar is determined by the norms laid down for the purpose and does not cover the full cost of studies. All applicants do not necessarily qualify for the maximum amount. Selected scholars may also qualify for a gift scholarship from the Jamsetji Tata Trust and a Travel Grant from the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, based on the sole discretion of the Trustees of the concerned Trusts. A gift scholarship can amount to a maximum of Rs.3,80,000.

  • Online Project Submission for Women Scientists Scheme -A (WOS-A)

    Women constitute an important section of the workforce. However, the present situation of a large number of well-qualified women scientists who due to various circumstances have been left out of the S&T activities needs to be addressed. The problems faced are several but, significantly, most often the "break in their career" arises out of motherhood and family responsibilities.

  • Apply for Jawaharlal Nehru Science Fellowships (25 fellowships) | Fellowship is US$ 100,000

    The Department of Science and Technology has instituted Jawaharlal Nehru Science Fellowship, in order to promote cutting-edge scientific research in centres of excellence in India. Eminent scientist of any nationality desirous of carrying out research in Indian Institutions for a period of 12 months in a three year duration would be enabled by this Fellowship Scheme.

  • SWAMI VIVEKANADA WEST BENGAL GOVT. MERIT-CUM-MEANS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME, 2013-14

    Applications are invited for awarding scholarship for the year 2013-14 under “Swami Vivekananda West Bengal Government Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme” introduced for providing financial assistance to the poor and meritorious students of West Bengal pursuing higher studies. The students of Post-Madhyamik levels in regular courses who are domiciled in West Bengal and studying in one of the educational institutions of this state after passing out from the State Board / Council of Secondary / Higher Secondary Education and Madrasah Siksha Parishad or a University of West Bengal, set up by State Act, whose annual family income is Rs. 80,000/- or less may apply for this scholarship provided their educational qualifications are as follows:-

  • COMMONWEALTH SCHOLARSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP PLAN-2014-U.K.

    Applications are invited from Indian nationals for nominations from India for award of Commonwealth Scholarships in United Kingdom tenable from September/October 2014. Upto Sixty five (65) (39 for Master’s Degree Course/Six months clinical training and 26 for Ph.D. Course) nominations are to be sent to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for final selection to be made by them.
