Salary : Rs. 938,448 (annual salary) *Starting salary will be determined on the basis of qualifications and experience, and/or salary history.

Qualifications
Education:
1. Successful completion of Secondary School (Class XII) is and “Degree course in Pharmacy” (B.Pharm) from an institution approved by the PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) under section 12 of the Act or from U.S., Puerto Rico, or Western European equivalent is required. Indicate completion / non-completion by checking Yes /No under the education requirement ‘’section 2: education ‘’ column. Did you graduate on the form DS-174 (This question is to know if you have completed class-X, XII or any other degree/vocational courses, also specify the name of course and subjects for each qualification you possess.)
2. Must be registered as Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) or from U.S. Puerto Rico, or Western European equivalent, and the license to practice Pharmacy should be current. (Please attach a copy of the license with the application. Applications which do not have a copy of the license will not be accepted.)

Requirements:
Minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or out-patient clinic setting is required. (Elaborate job responsibilities under ‘’section 4: work experience’’ column on the form DS-174. You may also attach additional sheets in case you would like to provide any further information/details.) Level III (Good Working Knowledge) in English (Speaking /Reading/Writing) is required. (When applying for the position, please indicate your level of proficiency for these languages in ‘’section 3: language’’ column on the form DS-174.)

Duties:
The incumbent will be responsible for managing and operating the Pharmaceutical services at the health unit in the American Embassy New Delhi and at the American Consulates in Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. This position will include professional pharmaceutical duties, administrative duties, as well as, daily contact with outside vendors including those in the USA, Europe and Asia. Will also be responsible for regional duties whereby which the Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical consultation and procurement assistance to the American Embassies in Asia, Central Asia and a few Middle Eastern countries.

Summary: The U.S. Embassy in New Delhi is seeking an individual for the position of Pharmacist in the Health Unit.

The work schedule for this position: Full Time; 40 hours per week

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
