Director, Health Services recruites Pharmacist / Logistic Assistant for strengthening of its drug procurement cell - 50 vacancies

Director, Health Services (GoMP) has undertaken the strengthening of its drug procurement cell through the recruitment of various professionals at the state and district level on contractual basis. Overall, 50 positions are vacant. The details of state-level positions are as follows:

Post: Pharmacist / Logistic Assistant - 50 vacancies

Remuneration: 12000 per month

For recruitment to these positions, the contractual service rules (2002) of Department of Public Health & Family Welfare, GoMP shall apply. State government’s policy with regard to reservation of posts for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBC, etc will be followed.
Candidates based outside Madhya Pradesh are also eligible to apply. However, permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh shall be preferred. Candidates who have retired from/ have worked in the past with the Government/ Public Sector are also eligible to apply, subject to the conditions laid down in the relevant government rules. For all posts, the mode of recruitment shall be decided purely at the discretion of the state government.

Logistics Assistant will be posted in each District of the State. They will have responsibility for management of the warehouse and for receipt, storage, inventory control, recording, issuing, verifying, and disposal of the stock. They will report to the In-charge of the store.
A. Job Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Pharmacist cum Logistics Assistant include, but are not restricted to the following:
The incumbent will be responsible for handling all supply and logistics related issues including proper coordination with MoHFW in strengthening the Logistics and supply Chain systems and embedding best practices procedures within the States for programmes run by MoHFW & onward supplies to corresponding Districts up to PHC level. Specifically, her/ his responsibilities will include, but not be restricted to:
• Develop, manage and supervise the necessary logistics system for warehousing and transportation of procured goods from district to PHC level;
• Identify training needs in supply chain management for staff; and
• Based on the above prepare an implementation plan and budget for improving and outsourcing and distribution of medicines and other supplies to health facilities
• Develop cost-effective and efficient Logistics and Supply Chain procedures at district and PHC Level.
• Use data to drive effective supply chain operations.
• Establish & Put to use of the ProMIS modules available to improve upon the Logistics Management Information System and Inventory and Stock Management Systems.
• Establish storage norms to reflect best practices in warehousing, storage, Distribution and Disposal management.
• Ensure establishment of cost effective transport and distribution systems.
• Implementation of systems at State, corresponding districts & PHCs improve cost effectiveness including methods to reduce losses, overstocking, waste, expiry date tracking, security measures, inefficient handling and distributions methods, damage during movement of stock etc.
• Define methods of measurement in the supply chain including qualification methodologies/ forecasting.
• Establish with team members supply chain performance criteria and improvement in current system
• Ensure adherence of quality assurance and quality control methodologies in all aspects of Logistics and supply chain.
• Monitor and evaluate providers of goods and services

B. Qualifications and Experience:
S/he should possess diploma in Pharmacy Sciences and have at least 2 years of experience in drug storage and distribution.
In addition s/he should possess:
• Understanding of procurement of drugs and other hospital supplies
• Knowledge of Materials Management, Supply Chain Management and Contracts Management
• Knowledge of various material acquisition processes
• Good computing skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
C. Age Limit: Maximum 35 Years
D. Mode of recruitment: Evaluation of CV followed by Written Test and/ or Interview
E. Period of Appointment: On Contract for 2 years (extendable)
