Job for M.Sc as Research Fellow in University of Madras

The Public Petition dated 11-11-1839 initiated the establishment of Madras University. It was in January 1840 with Mr.George Norton as its President, that the University Board was constituted. In 1854 after a lapse of 14 years, the Government of India formulated a systematic educational policy for India and as a sequel to this on 5th September 1857 by an act of legislative council of India the University was established. The University was organised in the model of London University.

Applications are invited to work in the University Grants Commission – University with Potential of Excellence Phase II Programme:

Title of the Project: Project –I Thrust Area – Up-gradation of Maduravoyal Field Research Laboratory

Post: Research Fellow – Three Nos.

Fellowship: Rs 14,000/= p.m.

Duration of the project: Two years

Qualification: M.Sc. I Class/II class with minimum 55% in Botany, Plant Science, Applied Plant Science, Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology

Objective of the project: Standardization of agro techniques for selected medicinal plants viz., Trigonella foenum- graecum L., Aegle marmelos (L.) Corr. Serr., Scoparia dulcis L., Indigofera tinctoria L. and Curcuma longa L.

Applicants shall submit their bio-data with photocopies of attested certificates/degrees to the undersigned on or before 21.8.2013.
