Title of project: Assessment of the role of pterostilbene and its derivatives for prevention of bone loss in breast cancer bone metastasis

Sponsor of the project: Department of Biotechnology, Govt, of India

Qualifications: M.Sc. (Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences)/ M. Tech (Biotechnology)/ M.E. (Biotechnology). Candidate should be qualified UGC-CSIR-JRF/ CSIR-NET-Lectureship/ GATE (Valid scores for M.Sc. candidates). Candidates having prior experience in handling animal cell lines and their culture and various molecular biology techniques like western blots, RT-PCR and gene cloning will be preferred.

Emoluments: Rs. 25,000/ pm for first two years and Rs. 28,000/pm for third year

Duration: Thirty months

Job description: Research on understanding the mechanism of action of new drug molecules using in vitro cell line and animal models.

1. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.
2. Candidates desiring to appear for the Interview should submit their applications with the following documents to the office of Principal Investigator through email, by post or produce at the time of Interview:
• Application in a plain paper with detailed CV including chronological discipline of degree/certificates obtained.
• Experience including research, industrial field and others.
• Attested copies of degree/certificate and experience certificate.
3. Candidate shall bring along with them the original degree(s)/ certificate(s) and experience certificate(s) at the time of interview for verification.
4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

The interview will be held at Biotechnology Department on October 07, 2016 at 10.30 AM onwards in the Comittee Room (to be given only for walk in interview)
