Walk-in interview for the post of JRF research project entitled “PROTEIN-PROTEIN INTERFACE TARGETED DRUG DESIGNING” in North - Eastern Hill University

North-Eastern Hill University was set up by an Act of Parliament and notified on 19th July 1973. The objectives of the University, as laid down in the act, are "to disseminate and advance knowledge by providing instructional and research facilities in such branches of learning as it may deem fit; to pay special attention to the improvement of the social and economic conditions and welfare of the people of the hill areas of the North-eastern region, and in particular, the intellectual, academic and cultural advancement".

Post: Junior Research Fellow

There will be a walk-in interview for the post of JRF (one) in a DBT, Govt. of India funded research project entitled “PROTEIN-PROTEIN INTERFACE TARGETED DRUG DESIGNING” in the Department of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, North Eastern Hill University, Shillong-22 on the 19th September 2014 at 11.00 am.

Candidates interested are to bring xerox copies and originals of all certificates and mark sheets on the scheduled date.


Essential qualification: M.Sc. in any descipline of Life Sciences/Chemistry with minimum 55% marks.

Desirable: Working knowledge of insilico molecular design and chemical synthesis.

Emoluments: Rs. 16,000/- + HRA and applicable, only if JRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs. 12,000/- + HRA.
