Post : Quality Control Officer Microbiology

Purpose of the position:
To ensure compliance to the requirements of Good Laboratory Practices (Schedule L-I of D&C Act) in the Quality Control Laboratory, enabling timely & accurate disposition for incoming materials, intermediates, bulk & finished products manufactured at the plant

General Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective implementation of Good Laboratory Practices, as per the applicable regulations as well as the company policies/guidelines & procedures.
  • Carryout Sampling & Testing of Raw & Packaging Materials, Intermediates, Bulk & Finished Products, as per the validated microbiological test methods enabling timely & accurate disposition decisions.
  • Carryout regular checks of facilities, utilities, equipment etc. to ensure micro robustness of the plant.
  • Carryout periodic checks of effectiveness for critical-to-quality elements viz., Purified Water System, HVAC system, etc. through extensive sampling & testing.
  • Review of Manufacturing Batch Records, Test reports & other GXP documents, enabling batch releases for dispatch to market.
  • Support laboratory investigations related to OOS/OOT results, Non-conformances, Deviations & Complaints.
  • Ensure execution & documentation of the Qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ & PQ) for the Laboratory Equipment.

Candidate Profile :

  1. Education: Master’s degree in Microbiology from a reputed university.
  2. Sound knowledge of GMP, GLP and Regulatory Compliance.
  3. Experience: Around 5 years in the Microbiology section of the Quality Control Lab in a Pharmaceutical (Liquid Orals, Parenteral, etc.)  Company.
  4. Should Ensure execution & documentation of the Qualification (DQ, IQ, OQ & PQ) for the Laboratory Equipment.
  5. be willing to work in shifts (A, B & C), 24x7 with staggered weekly off.
  6. Good communication & interpersonal skills, flair for quality, team player, quick learner.
