Job Description
Function of the Position:
This is a hands-on, non-supervisory position in USP-India’s Biologics Lab. Responsible for carrying out cell free assays with supervision and the techniques include but not limited to Molecular Biology, Biochemical Assays, Enzymatic Assays, Coagulation Assays and ELISA. Will also be responsible for the management of systems-in-place, Inventory systems, and other supporting activities related to Biologics. Assists in method development, involves in method validation, method verification, collaborative testing, routine sample analysis and conducts lab test procedures as per requirement.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conducts lab test procedure and records experimental data, ensuring clear and accurate transcription of results and calculations
- Completes assigned work with quality and in a timely manner
- Assists the group leader in implementing laboratory procedures and systems
- Assists in purchase of laboratory supplies, equipment, and co-ordinates calibration of instruments
- Co-ordinates all calibration and validation activities of lab and equipment
- Recommends improvements to systems and all other supporting activities
- Troubleshoots instrumentation and analytical issues within the area of expertise
- Assists the group leader in implementing and evaluating laboratory procedures and systems. Routinely applies personal experience, academic training, and technical insights to solve problems in the laboratory
- Attends group and project meetings
- Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies
- Co-ordinates QMS related activities
- Demonstrates a strong desire to continue learning and grow personal capability
- Pursues, recommends and implements new approaches or processes to improve laboratory operations
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- The candidate must take personal responsibility to ensure work is delivered on time and is of the highest possible quality. Basic understanding of scientific concepts, ability to anticipate, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Computer proficiency is must.

Required Experience
- Minimum Requirements for Scientist I:
- Master’s degree in any life science with not more than one year of experience in the relevant field.
- Experience in basic cell culture will be an advantage.
