Recruitment for M.Pharm, M.Sc to work in research at National Institutes of Technology

The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are autonomous public institutes of higher education, located in India. They are governed by the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, which declared them as institutions of national importance alongside Indian Institutes of Technology. These institutes of national importance receive special recognition from the Government of India. The NIT Council is the supreme governing body of India's National Institutes of Technology (NIT) system and all 31 NITs are funded by the Government of India.

Applications are invited for the position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) from candidates the following qualifications:

Qualifications: Post graduation in any branch of Life Sciences with specialization in Immunology/Biotechnology/ Zoology / Microbiology/ Biochemistry /electronics/experimental condensed matter physics/Bio-Physics/ Pharmacy etc. M.Tech/ M.Pharm or M.Sc from a recognized University or Institute to work on a SERB sponsored research project entitled “Evaluation of the role of vitamin D in obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes using SiOx/TiCh nanowire based sensor, with two years research experience. They must have qualified any national level exam like NET / GATE. Special preference will be given to them, having experience in Cell culture / Sensor Technology/Bio-physics or Nano Biology.

 

The selected candidates will be initially taken as Senior Research Fellows (SRF) and will be paid a stipend of Rs. 28000/- per month + HRA as per institute rule. The fellowship will be provided for a period of three years. Continuation of the fellowship is subject to satisfactory performance and review at the end of each year.
