The Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, was established on October 20,1995 by an Act of the Legislature of the State of Haryana with the objectives 'to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education with focus on new frontiers of technology, pharmacy, environmental studies, non-conventional energy sources and management studies and also to achieve excellence in these and connected fields'. It was formally inaugurated on November 1, 1995. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar Ji Maharaj, a saint environmentalist of 15th century. Keeping in view the nature of courses offered at the university and the mandate for which it had been established the name of the university has been changed as Guru Jambheshwar university of Science & Technology.

Post : Junior Research Fellows (06 posts)

Applications are invited for six Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) @ Rs.25,000/- p.m. from candidate with M.Sc. in Basic Science with NET or Graduate degree in professional course with NET or PG degree in professional course for two years and three Lab. Technician @ Rs.18,000/- p.m. with M.Sc. Chemistry/Physics, M.Pharm. for one year in DST-PURSE Programme.

Proposed objectives :
* Development of functional materials and thin films
* Synthesis and characterization of compounds of potential medicinal interest
* Biological evaluation of natural and synthetic compounds
* Development of novel drug delivery systems
Desirable qualification : M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Sc. Physics with 55% marks with NET M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutics/ Pharm. Chemistry) with 55% marks or B.Pham. with GPAT

Bio & NanoTechnology, Environmental Science and Engg, Food Technology
Proposed objectives :
* Development of materials and formulations for healthcare, food, agriculture and environmental applications
* Development of nanosensors for sensing of environmental contaminants, toxicants, heavy metals etc.
Desirable qualification : M.Sc. or B.E./B.Tech degree in respective subject with 55% marks and NET/GATE/M.E./M.Tech.

Proposed objectives :
* Advance computer simulation for high speed digital signal processing and sensor network
* Design of photonic integrated circuit and components for future multi-processor on-chip communication

* Developments of nanofluids and functional material for applications in engineering sectors
Desirable qualification : M.Sc. or B.E./B.Tech degree in respective subject with 55% marks and NET/GATE/M.E./M.Tech.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Emolument: Rs.25,000/- p.m.
Duration: two years (extendable depending upon the performance on yearly basis for the tenure of the project)

Lab. Technician for Central Instrumentation Laboratory, etc: 03 Nos.
Emolument: Rs.18,000/- p.m. (consolidated) Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry / Physics, M.Pharm. with 55% marks (To look after the running of sophisticated instruments, eg NMR, HPLC, DSC, UV-VIS-NIR, FTIR, XRD (powder and crystal), etc
Duration: one year (extendable depending upon the performance on yearly basis for the tenure of the project)
