Novo nordisk's data management department was established in Bangalore, India in the month of September 2007 and has significantly grown from 10 members to a strong team of over 140 Clinical Data Management professionals. It has witnessed significant transformations right from providing DM services to IO region reporting to IOCDC to becoming an integral part of Global development from Aug 2010. It is a young, enthusiastic and dynamic team with varied skillsets and professionals from diverse backgrounds such as pharmacy, life-sciences, physiotherapy, computer / information sciences and business administration.

Post: Team Leader/Associate Manager

Key responsibilities:       
1) Leads the team in developing advanced, scalable Pharma-related analytics solutions for the IO-Strategic Operations team (Zurich) and the Insights & Forecasting team (Copenhagen) vis-à-vis the GSC Marketing Analytics team (IO & HQ Insights)    
2) Drives process migrations through active participation in the strategic initiatives   
3) Maintains an awareness of the business, operational activities, and processes in areas pertaining to scope of responsibilities    
4)  Initiates and facilitates the sharing of process knowledge and best practices within the team and across the Organization, and is capable of impacting and influencing others     5) Proactively identifies, recommends and implements process improvements in procedures of team assignments.    

6) Ensures stakeholder satisfaction by working closely with stakeholder teams in identifying the key process drivers/issues and completion/solution of the same    
7) Manages the performance appraisal process within the team and provides constructive feedback    
8) Proactively works on succession planning to reduce business dependencies 

Main job tasks:
Responsible for developing advanced analytic solutions that are scalable across and drive critical business decisions       
- Manages and delivers all aspects of superior custom qualitative and quantitative marketing analytics projects that cater to the requirements of the stakeholders   
-  Manages project tasks, timelines and delivers all aspects of qualitative and quantitative market research projects.    
- Encourages the team to constantly question the data and generate business insights - “why?” and “so what?” 

Makes strategic recommendations that address key business questions, based on research results       
- Proactively identifies key opportunities and challenges across the business units and recommends appropriate analytical approaches to address them    
- Participates in creating and articulating relevant marketing solutions and in developing methods or processes for implementation across regions

Build, lead and inspire team       
1) Recruits personnel in the marketing analytics function, assigns responsibilities, sets targets, guides execution and reviews performance, formulates team development plans, initiates team building activities, identifies training needs in order to build a focused and cohesive team    
2) Contributes to building a high performing, highly impactful team, which inspires commitment and confidence from senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization    
3) Provides effective and timely feedback and inputs for the overall development of the team members    
4) Proactive participation in the GSC Finance Extended Management forum to develop cross team initiatives and promotes knowledge sharing

Other Responsibilities       
* Ensures that all the process related documents are up to date    
* Proposes efficiency savings for cross IO/HQ projects and tasks    
* Ensures compliance with Novo Nordisk systems and policies    
* Takes full responsibility for development and fulfilment of individual development plan (IDP)    
* Shares best practices and act as a GSC Finance ambassador outside the immediate functional area

Qualifications:       
* Masters Degree (preferably within quantitative/management discipline) from a well-recognized institute    
* Under-graduate degree in Pharma (BPharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc), Engineering (BTech)    
* Good academic track records and grades    
* Consulting experience a plus    
* In depth knowledge of sales operations and marketing process – particularly in Pharma Reporting & Analytics, Pricing, Market Access, Commercial Effectiveness (Sales Force Effectiveness) & Health Economics preferred.    
* Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex situations, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture    
* Ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple stakeholders    
* Technical skills:    
* Must have: MS Excel (Advanced & VBA), MS PowerPoint & Adobe, Leveraging IMS
* databases (MIDAS) and other segmentation methods    
* Preferred (a “Plus”):    
* SAP Business Warehouse (BW), SAP BO & Qlikview
