Job Description
As an HR Professional in GSC-People Operations, you would be responsible to process monthly payroll for regular and contract employees. Handle employee queries related to payroll, tax, provident fund, gratuity etc. Understanding statutory regulations related labour laws, Companies Act, Provident Fund Act, Shops and Establishments Act etc. is a must.

Key Responsibilities:
PAYROLL:
- Process employee data (new hires, changes in earnings etc.)
- Collate payroll information; process with very high quality and speed and ensure 100% compliance to statutory requirements
- Collate changes/inputs for monthly payroll and incorporate in inputs file
- Validate SAP head count data, hires, exits and F&F settlement cases before dead line given in monthly payroll calendar
- Reconcile and validate payroll prior to transmission to external payroll vendor
- Perform monthly payroll operations within defined KPIs and SOPs, internal guidelines/policies
- Understand proper taxation of company paid benefits
- Process accurate and timely year end payroll cycles
- Ability to explain and answer payroll / statutory related queries as representative of payroll team at on-boarding programmes
- Ability to resolve wherever possible, payroll / statutory related queries during Helpdesk meetings organised for employees  
- Manage employee personal files-physical filing
- Visit PF office, LIC etc to solve employee grievances
- Preparing for audits and executing as per audit requirements/standards


STATUTORY:
- Prepare and remit monthly gratuity contributions and quarterly employee statements;
- Ensure timely initiation and proper compliance to HR policies, audit requirements and statutory requirements under various labour laws
- Generate and maintain requisite statutory records
- Display specified statutory notices in accordance with labour laws and updating them as and when required
- Implementing rules, procedures, directives etc. applicable under various statutes including those prescribed by management
- Liaising with Labour Department, job related government officials, sub-contractors and special agencies to maintain good industrial relations and ensure statutory compliance.
- Timely remittance and filing management under statutory laws
- Manage filing of various data requirements under various statutory regulations

Qualification:
- Bachelor degree in finance/HR
- Master’s degree in finance or accounting from an internationally recognised institute


Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in performing Internal Audits  from a larger organisation
- Solid knowledge about payroll accounting, statutory regulations and SARBOX act
- Knowledge of SAP – HR module
- Experience in processing monthly payroll
- Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, policies and agreements relating to payroll administration
- Ability to train others in specialised payroll practices and procedures
- Applicant should have strong organisational, time management and prioritisation abilities
