Job Description
Ensuring timely supplies of Pharmaceutical formulations (as per MRP II Class A requirements), manufactured at cGMP facilities of third parties and meeting Novartis Internal Quality and BCM / NEM requirements

Evaluation of manufacturing capacities of all third parties to meet market demands of all products consistently. Advise third parties suitably on manufacturing capacity augmentation, if necessary. Ensuring availability of products from third parties meeting with Novartis Quality and MRP II requirements. Monitoring of GMP implementation and compliance in product manufacturing and packaging process as per Local Production Instructions. Coordinating with third parties, purchase, planning and quality assurance for timely manufacture of Novartis products at third parties. Contribution as a NP2G core team member for timely launch of new products domestically. Evaluation of third parties for manufacture of new products advising third parties on plant and GMP upgradation requirements to manufacture new product. Teaming with Development and Quality Assurance in validation / interaction of first three batches. Coordination with third parties for commercial production after successful validation of new product, independently without support from development. Evaluation of yield losses at various manufacturing stages and improving of product yields by proper system or better equipment. Contribution as a MRP II core team member by providing suggestions to improve production plan accuracy and vendor performance accuracy. Preparation and maintenance of Business Continuity Plan as per Novartis Global BCM guidelines. Support to BD & L in new product launches in business case preparations, commercial negotiations with Contract Research Organisation and in agreement preparations.

Candidate Profile
Pharmacist (MSc or Ph.D. from accredited Technical University) or appropriate education and experience in Pharmaceutical industry Local language, English fluent in speaking / writing 5-7 years in functions with increasing responsibility within the pharmaceutical industry
