IDPL is the largest Central Pharma Public Sector Undertaking in India with plants at Rishikesh, Gurgaon & Hyderabad and two Subsidiary Units at Chennai and Muzaffarpur.
The vision of first Prime Minister of India, Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru regarding Indian Drug Industry was that “the drug industry must be in the public sector. I think an industry of the nature of the drug industry should not be in the private sector anyhow. There are for too much exploitation of the public in this industry”. With the vision of the then Prime Minister of India, IDPL was incorporated in April, 1961 (Company Registration No. 3418 of 1961-1962 with Registrar of Companies, Delhi and having its Registered and Corporate Office at Gurgaon) with main objectives of creating self-sufficiency in respect of essential life saving medicines, to free the country from dependence on imports and to provide medicines to the millions at affordable prices and not to make millions from the medicines. IDPL was basically conceived and established as a part of Healthcare Infrastructure and has played a pioneering infra-structural role in the growth of Indian Drug Industry base.

Min. Qualifications & Experience: The applicant should be graduate with good academic record from a recognized university. He/She should posses 10-15 years of experience at a senior level of management In a large organization of repute.
Applicant with Technical /MBA qualification and having experience in Finance, Marketing/Production will have added advantage. Knowledge of Pharmaceuticals sector is desirable.

Consolidated remunerations (Rs):
General Manager/ Plant Incharge ODCL,Bhubaneswer: 35000- 40000
General Manager/ Plant Incharge IDPL Rishikesh Plant: 45000- 50000


Note:
(i) Qualification criteria is relaxable in case of deserving candidate
(ii) Incomplete Applications: if any candidate fails to fill up any column in his application, the same will be rejected as incomplete.

Selection Procedure: The selection would be done by way of initial screening of applications and interview thereafter of the short-listed applicants only.

Job Description and Responsibilities: He/She is responsible for all the activities of the Unit including personnel, financial and commercial management, planning and project implementation. He/She is responsible for the effectiveness of the organization in the pursuit of the Organization’s goals and objectives and in particular for the performance and supervision of the technical, administrative and day to day operations of the unit.


General Conditions:
1 The Candidates must ensure that they possess the required qualification and experience in the relevant field for the post applied.
2 The prescribed educational qualifications & experience are minimum & mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview.
3 The Documents submitted by the Candidate if found incorrect / false information/ certificate/documents or has suppressed any material fact(s) his/her candidature will stands cancelled. If any of these short comings is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
4 IDPL has right to reject Candidature at any stage and the decision of IDPL will be Final.
5 IDPL has right to reject entire selection/advertisement at any stage and the decision of IDPL shall be final in this regard.
6 Any dispute arising out of this advertisement shall be subject to the sole jurisdiction of Court situated at respective place of posting.
7 IDPL reserves the right to raise / modify the Eligibility Criteria in educational qualification/ experience/age in case of requirement.
8 Train fare will be reimbursed to outstation candidates called for interview traveling more than a distance of 100 Kms. for attending the Interview subject to submission of proof of travel as under:
9 These posts are purely contractual in nature and initial period of contract would be for one year. Renewable further on the basis of performance.
