AIIMS Bhopal is one of the seven AIIMS apex healthcare institutes being established by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna(PMSSY). With the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country, and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education and training the PMSSY planned to set up 6 new AIIMS like institutions in under served areas of the country.

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a DST-funded research project with following details:

Title of the project: Effect of mechanically graded nano-fibrous scaffolds on cancer cell migration: Applications in anti-metastatic agent screening/testing (funded by the DST Inspire, New Delhi)

Principal Investigator: Dr. Neha Arya, DST Inspire Faculty Fellow, Department of Biochemistry, 3rd Floor, Medical college Building, AIIMS Bhopal, Saket Nagar, Bhopal- 462020; neha.biochemistry@aiimsbhopal.edu.in)

Essential qualifications: M.Sc (Chemistry / Biochemistry /Medical Biochemistry / Biotechnology) or equivalent degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate score (6.5 grade points on a scale of 10).

 

Desirable: Hands‐on experience in Molecular Biology techniques such as Real‐Time PCR, Western blotting, ELISA, and animal cell culture and/or polymer chemistry. Candidates with CSIR/UGC JRF-NET/GATE will be preferred.

Age limit: 30 years

Salary: Rs. 15,000/- per month (consolidated)

Duration: Upto 11 months, extendable to 2 to 4 years based on performance review
