Defence Institute of Bio-Energy Research (DIBER) (formely Defence Agricultural research Laboratory, DARL) is engaged in R&D on Biofuel crops and Bio-diesel for Defence use.Bio-resource conservation, improvement and its judicious utilization and Bioenergy-products from Himalayan Herbs. The laboratory is located at Haldwani, District- Nainital (Uttarakhand).

Following Fellowships are available initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), at a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/- per month for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Rs. 40,000/- per month for Research Associate (RA) (House Rent Allowance is also admissible as per rules). Applications are invited from candidates possessing below mentioned qualification

JRF-01 :Junior Research Fellows: DRDO fellowship (Posts-13*)
Essential Qualification :
Post graduate degree in Agriculture Science (Genetics & Plant Breeding/Horticulture/ Vegetable Science/Plant Pathology/ Agronomy), 'Life Science (Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology. Food Technology/ Microbiology, Physiology), Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Science in first division with NET/ GATE/GPAT qualification. Or Graduate degree in professional course (B E/ B.Tech in Biotechnology/ Food tech¬nology) in first division with NET/GATE
Or
Post graduate degree in professional course (M.E/M.Tech in Biotechnology/Food technology) in first division both at Graduate and Post Graduate level.
Desirable Qualification : Preference will be given to those who have a working experience in the mentioned discipline/areas

 

Research Associate (Post-01*)
Essential Qualification :
PhD in Chemistry
Desirable Qualification :
Experience in analytical Chemistry and handling of modern analytical instruments

JRF-02: Junior Research Fellows: with own Fellowship.(Post-04*)
Essential Qualification :
(a)  Qualification same as post code: JRF-01
(b) CSIR/UGC/IAMR/DBT/DST qualified with valid fellowship at the time of joining.
Desirable Qualification :
Experience in analytical Chemistry and handling of modern analytical instruments

Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice.

General Terms and Conditions:
(I) Upper Age Limit: 28 years for JRF and 35 years for RA as on last date of receipt of application. The upper age limit shall be relaxable to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and OBC as per Government of India orders.
(II) Place of work: Candidates have to serve DIBER Field Station Auli (Joshimath) in Distt Chamoli, Field Station Pithoragarh and DIBER HQ, Haldwani. However they may also be posted any other station including high altitude field stations.
(Ill) Eligible candidates should send their duly completed application form on or before 12 Jan 2017 by email to director@darl.drdo.in.
(IV) Place & Date of Interview: DIBER (DRDO), Haldwani on 16 January 2017 at 0930 hrs.
(V) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
(VI) Candidates MUST produce all certificates/testimonials in original at the time of interview; otherwise they would NOT be allowed to appear for interview (VII) Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the selection committee of the Institute which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
(VIII) Number of seats for JRF may increase or decrease without prior notice. Interested candidates may send their bio data in the given format on or before the last date.
(IX) It may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right for absorption in DRDO.
