Procurement Division:
The Johnson & Johnson Procurement Category Manager will provide and implement value-creating business solutions, cross-sector, for the operating companies in all J&J’s three sectors (Pharma, Consumer and MD&D)

Within the context of our Credo values, and of the strategic objectives of  the J&J companies, the Procurement  Manager has a cross sector responsibility for proposing and implementing solutions that lead to cost saving and driving efficiencies across all Non-Media spends related to the Marketing and Media function. The manager will also be responsible for managing agency partnerships w.r.t. fee negotiations, support in pitch process and to drive adoption and utilisation of regional assets across sectors.

Job Responsibilities:
The Manager – CCFS Procurement will focus on the strategic management and inter-relationship of capital, construction and facility service providers, ensuring seamless collaboration with the operations, project and facility management teams in India.  He / She will deploy global / regional procurement strategies and processes to deliver results for Johnson & Johnson’s brands in the areas of selections, compensation, on-going performance and innovation.
The Manager – CCFS Procurement will have exposure to a wide range of business activities across the various groups, providing opportunities for synergies and leveraging scale on cross-sector business needs. The person will be expected to work closely with the operations, project and facility management teams in J&J India to identify areas to drive efficiencies in their respective function.  The other responsibilities would include supporting the teams in the selection process of agencies and working closely with the regional team to drive adoption of new assets across sectors.

Guided by the Leadership Imperatives, the role will focus on the following:
Connect: Cultivate external relationships and partnerships with key agencies as well as strengthen  internal collaboration amongst key stakeholders, marketing teams and the various agency engagements to collectively aim to achieve business objectives
Shape: Proactively conduct spend analysis, research and industry benchmark information to enable best practice analysis, next practice insights and integrating those in the implementation of sourcing strategies aligned with business partner needs
Lead: Be accountable for needs-based capability building and identification of synergies across the various agency relationships
Deliver :  Value creation initiatives by driving agency performance to achieve  higher efficiency and effectiveness

The position will be measured primarily on:
- The attainment of key expectations along the leadership imperatives of Live the Credo, Connect, Shape, Lead and Deliver
- Achievement of initiatives positively impacting efficiencies, process improvements, value adds to each of the businesses

Other Dimensions:
Compliance to worldwide, regional and local polices e.g., Policy of Business Conduct, Healthcare Compliance, SOX, etc.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Engineering degree is a requirement.

Additional Preference for MBAs  from premier B schools/ Post Graduate 2- year degree or diploma  from Premier Business  Institutes

Experience
7-10  years+ experience in EPC, Construction or project management

Key skills –
- Ability to interact with business leaders and senior Business and finance and understand business dynamics. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under tight timelines. Ability to handle complex operations.  Change management skills and ability to visualize and lead changes for the future in terms of system implementation, transition management. Experience in supplier relationship management, competitive bidding, negotiation, writing contracts, promoting Innovation is preferred.  
- Integrity, Teamwork & Leadership: Demonstrates integrity, inspires trust and avoids conflicts of interest. The ability to manage cross-functional teams collaboratively is required. A highly self-motivated individual and is able to lead by example. Ability to be successful in large, matrixes organizations with multiple organizations/franchises is required. Respectful and adaptable, yet with a strong point of view. Strong in Initiative/Follow through.
- Learning Capacity: Rapidly learns new skills and ideas; assimilates complex information and adopts well in ambiguous situation. Strong analytical/problem solving skills are a must. Able to quickly size up information, use logic to evaluate and draw sound conclusions and decisions. Must have a right level of assertiveness and able to know where to go for information.  
- Resilience& Coping with Pressure:  Works efficiently and maintains positive outlook under significant pressure and manages setback, criticism and tension. Has a strong sense of urgency and not resistant to change.
- Communication & Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  Fluent in written and spoken English. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbal and in writing with all levels within all business functions.
