Applications are invited upto May 11, 2017 for temporary one post of Research associate and one post Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the ICMR funded projects “Comparative analysis of Genetic, clinical and epidemiological factors of breast cancer in Indian population”, and Role of cellular Transcription Factor NF-kB and HPV in the development of esophageal carcinogenesis” Principal investigator, Dr Showket Hussain, Scientist- C, Division of Molecular Oncology, ICMR-National Institute of Cancer Prevention & Research ( NICPR) Noida.

Research Associate - 01 post
Essential Qualification & Experience:- Ph.D. degree in any field of Life Sciences/ Biomedical sciences from a recognized University.
Desirable Qualification:
(i) Post-doctoral research experience in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences in recognized institute(s)
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
(iii) Working experience of molecular biology techniques relevant to cancer research with special emphasis on Cell and tissue culture, Flow Cytometry Confocal microscopyand cloning.
(iv) Track record of Publications as first author in indexed journals.
Age limit: 40 years (In case of women candidates the upper age relaxed by two years)
Emoluments: 36000/- + HRA per month

 

Senior Research Fellow (SRF) - 01 post
Essential Qualification & Experience:- M.Sc. in any branch of life Sciences (Biotech / Biochemistry / Microbiology etc)/ M.Tech with two years of research experience.
Desirable Qualification:(i) Working experience of molecular biology techniques relevant to cancer research with tract record of co-authored publications in indexed journals.
Age limit : 35 years
Emoluments: 28000/- + HRA per month

Applications should be superscribed “APLLICATION / RESEARCH ASSOCIATE /SRF, PI- DR SHOWKET HUSSAIN”. Applications should reach on or before 21 days(May 11, 2017) from the date of this notice. Short-listed candidates will be called for personal discussion later.

Please note that the Institute has no provision for hostel accommodation. No TA/DA is admissible. Selected Candidates will not claim for regular appointment under ICMR. Benefits of Provident Fund, CCA, Leave Travel Concession, Medical claim etc. are not admissible.

Applications received after the due date/due to postal delay and/or without the relevant Information will not be considered. The post is purely temporary for the duration of the project (3 years) and the position will automatically co-terminus on the completion of the project tenure. The appointment is initially for one year and can be extended for subsequent years based on the performance. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in funding agency or in this Institute. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer of appointment.
